I look skeptically at this. I admit it is fancy and geeky, but at most 1% of the people around the pizza place are actually using Twitter.

@Kelly,

I may not have written that clearly enough. They're not "targeting" within 3 miles on twitter, they have a delivery area of about 3 miles. Their initial targeting seems to have been anyone self-identified in New Orleans.

Though it's not super accurate I like the location filter in PeopleBrowsr. It's a great way to lurk in the conversations in your area. Then you can selectively follow any who seem to have a real connection. I mention a few tools useful for Twitter for Local Business in my recent presentation at the Local Search Summit.

If it works that will be a big help. I'm just glad to see more bodies go to the local team in the support area. My personal biggest beef has been consolidating multiple listings. I had a Las Vegas client who had 5 different auto generated local maps business listings. It was an old site and it had tons of citations and it took me 9 weeks to get the first 3 duplicates removed. If there are more support bodies at local it will help get better cleaner results and it will make professional SEO's lives much easier.

Great sum up of the new bulk upload feature. I have been thinking lately that a great thing that google could do is set up a program for a marketing company to become qualified and white list any listing they post. This would mean lbc accounts would have multiple users which would be great and also allow for companies to show credibility and trust. Kind of a adwords program, but more strict, more like a reseller. What are anyone's thoughts on this?
